The contact form, the roof photo check and the roof quiz take what you type into them: your name, a phone number, an email address, a postcode, whatever you can tell us about the roof, and any photograph you attach. That is used to ring you back, arrange the visit, work up a quote and, if the job goes ahead, carry it out and guarantee it. The lawful basis is that you have asked us to take those steps, together with our legitimate interest in running a roofing business.
Enquiries arrive in our office inbox and are held in our customer records so that the job can be found again when you ring about it later. Photographs sent in for a first opinion are used for that opinion and are not published on this website.
An enquiry that never turns into a job is deleted within twelve months. Records of work actually carried out are kept for the ten years the workmanship guarantee runs, plus the period business and tax records have to be retained, so that the guarantee can be honoured and the books stand up to inspection.
Nobody, for marketing purposes. Running the business means using an email provider, a web host and a customer records system, and those hold data on our behalf under contract. If finance is arranged on a job, the finance provider needs your details for the application and that is explained to you before it happens. Nothing is sold, and nothing is passed to other trades without asking you first.
UK data protection law lets you ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to the way we use it. Email info@bradfordroofingco.co.uk and you will have an answer inside a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, the Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints at ico.org.uk.
